Sukhothai Seagrass Field is a heart-shaped island located in Thung Talay Luang, Ban Kluai Sub-district, Mueang District, Sukhothai. It is a place for people who like nature and it is also a place where "Phra Phuttha Ratanasiri Sukhothai" is enshrined, a bronze Buddha statue in the attitude of subduing Mara Buddha. It is expected that it was built in the reign of Maha Thammaracha I of Sukhothai, around 1845 now it is over 700 years old. The Buddha statue has 130 cm wide and 208 cm high. Currently, it is temporarily enshrined at Suanluang Rama IX, Mueang Sukhothai District. Some of the tourist attractions are made by human hands. But it becomes an important place and memorable like the Holy Heart Land at Thung Talay Luangang in Sukhothai. “Holy Heart Land” also known as "Heart-shaped island" is located in the center of Thung Talay Luang, Pak Kwai Sub-district, Mueang District, Sukhothai. Holy Heart Land has an idea from the monkey cheek project from King Bhumibol. This project reduces the flooding problems and stores the water in the dry season by built the reservoir in 2002. In the past, Thung Talay Luang used to be a reservoir for people to use, and the province designed it in the shape of a heart. The “heart-shaped” is from ​​Mr. Somsak Thepsutin when he was Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. He wanted this place to show the love and unity of the people in Sukhothai, they also created a heart-shaped island in the middle of the water called "Holy Heart Land" if anyone travel by plane and pass this area will be able to see the island surrounded by a heart-shaped reservoir. The holy story of the island was from the ceremony. This ceremony let 843 villages consecrated the sanctity into the soil. The soil is from a place where "Phra Phuttha Rattanasiri Sukhothai" is enshrined. This ceremony brings holiness to this holy heart land and it also represents the unity of the people in Sukhothai. "Phra Phuttha Rattanasiri Sukhothai", a Buddha statue of Holy Heart Land.
